Teacher

I have been teaching for 14 years and in that time I have gained considerable experience working with a wide range of children and adults. I take an holistic approach to teaching and am constantly searching for original and creative ways to approach each idea and challenge that occurs in the lesson.

My students are a mixture of children and adults and I have taught in a variety of settings ranging from Key Stage 1 classes, to lecturing undergraduates and postgraduates and tutoring at U3A and lifelong-learning centres. I am currently a teacher at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and Cardiff University and maintain a private teaching practice.

My pupils regularly gain places at conservatoires, university music departments and awards for the highest marks from music examination boards. Recent successes have included a scholarship to Brasenose College, Oxford, First prize in a national competition and the highest performance mark awarded on their undergraduate degree. I teach the Trinity College LondonAssosicated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and MTB syllabi for those wishing to obtain Graded qualifications.

My fees reflect the experience, knowledge and preparation that goes into ensuring that each lesson is tailored to suit the exact needs of each student. I aim to give the student a solid technical foundation on which they can build their musical skills.
